Immediately upon witnessing the true conditions of factory farms and how animals are processed to arrive at our plate, our co-founder Zach Vouga vowed to never eat meat again.

Vegetarian since the age of 15 and vegan since 18, he is especially passionate about promoting a vegan lifestyle and doing his part to pave the way toward a more sustainable future for the planet we collectively share.  Motivated to disrupt and realign the long-standing status quo of the agricultural system, Zach began laying out the early blueprints for what would become Plant Power. But it wasn’t until he partnered with Mitch Wallis that things really started to take off. Having previously spearheaded Evolution Fast Food, the world's first vegan drive-thru, Mitch is considered a pioneer in the industry and his extensive experience proved to be invaluable. Together, he and Zach have created a unique and one-of-a-kind vegan fast food concept with extraordinary potential to forever revolutionize the way we eat. 

From 2011 onward, their sole focus was perfecting every single aspect of the company and its culture.

Confident in their menu, their recipes, their cooking techniques and their operational methodologies, Zach and Mitch opened the first Plant Power Fast Food location in 2015, along with the help from the third co-founder Jeff Harris. Located on the beach in sunny San Diego, our flagship restaurant was a major success. Since then, we've rapidly expanded to nearly a dozen locations throughout California and beyond state lines to Las Vegas. Proud to be a part of the movement ushering in a greener and more compassionate future for the benefit of all living beings, we look forward to continuing to grow and evolve alongside our guests.

From the very beginning, the goal has been (and will always be) to make ethical and sustainable food accessible, affordable, convenient and delicious.
